I know, I know. It's been a while. I'm up to something. Many things. Be patient. Let's act like I update every day and you know all about what I've been doing. It makes it easier, like I haven't been neglecting all six of you while I work on secret business.
Yesterday was Danielle's Big Adventure in New York City with Leslie. Because the weather was abnormally cold, we wanted no involvement in the outdoors, so the big event was viewing "Burn the Floor." Here are my thoughts, in list format, because I like lists. (Have you already forgotten that about me?? Tsk tsk.)
- Mary Murphy's hair, regardless of the speed of her movement and flinging her head around, always looks the same. Waltz, jive, etc.
- Maks and Kym are two of the foxiest people on earth. Karina is a dumb whore.
- During the entire show, if Kym wasn't out, the primary dancer was a tiny firecracker whose name I didn't know. Due to certain physical attributes, she was dubbed Tits. Tits was on fire. I would have broken my neck and pulled every muscle in my body if I attempted to do the things she did on stage. Her high speed latin dancing was some of the best that I've ever seen. Tits was absolutely mesmerizing. At the end of the night, we learned that she was Giselle Peacock, which has to be the greatest name in the history of names. Except, perhaps, for the last name Pennypowers.
- One of the other dancers looked a lot like someone I know. Someone I will call Brrridget or Beth's Best Friend. But only if Brrridget or Beth's Best Friend had a surgery to reduce certain assets of her own.
- I have always hated the rumba. Now, I have learned that there are certain equations that are necessary to making the rumba work. Quite simply, no television show has ever tried these in my presence. First equation: 6 male dancers + 1 female dancer + 1 blindfold = 1 smokin' hot rumba. Second equation: Maks + Kym (in her bra and underwear with a big shirt over it) = 1 smokin' hot rumba. Third equation: Mary Murphy + some random guy + the waltz + over and over again = worse than the worst rumbas ever.
Now, click here. Scroll down. I'm pretty sure that you can pick out Giselle Peacock. For those that know Brrridget or Beth's Best Friend, I think you can scroll down one more and see what you think.
Burn the Floor is closing soon. Really soon. If you like dance, go. It's a good time. You can get a great deal on tickets. Mine were buy one, get one. The singers are also pretty amazing.
If only my teeth were so straight...
